Our lady's convent school GCSE results 2008

GCSE and A Level studentsWe are a Catholic day school that extends a warm welcome to children of all faiths and denominations. We educate girls from 3 to 18 and boys from 3 to 11 and guarantee small class sizes in order to focus on the individual child. They are helped, encouraged and supported rather than pressured which, as a result, both our GCSE and A Level students achieved a 100% pass rate this year. 92% of our GCSE pupils achieved 5 or more grade A* to C and 79% of our A Level students achieved an A to C grade.

The new School year welcomes new staff to Our Lady’s Convent School. Mrs Hawley, who has been Head since January 2008, is joined by Ms Clarke as Head of the Primary Department, Mrs Pratt as Deputy Head focusing on Pastoral and Mr Jennings, who has been with the School since 2001, as Deputy Head focusing on Curriculum.

The new year brings many exciting activities at the School including a musical performance of Oliver! in January 2009 as well as many fetes, days out, extra curricular clubs and evening entertainment.
