Grace Dieu nursery department have recently enjoyed a ‘Toddle Waddle’ to raise awareness and funds for The Meningitis Trust. The energetic three year olds had three races: a bean bag race, an egg and spoon race and a running race as well as a lively walk around the school grounds.

Their efforts raised a grand total of £465.50 which was presented by the proud youngsters to Jo Kennedy, local Community Development Officer for The Meningitis Trust. Ms Kennedy commented: ‘Toddle Waddle is a fun way for the under 5’s to do their bit to promote awareness of meningitis. We are delighted that the Cygnet Department at Grace Dieu supported us again this year and raised such a fantastic amount which will help the Meningitis Trust continue its vital work; it looked as though all the children really enjoyed the races despite the chilly weather!’

Headmaster, Charles Foulds, added, “Part of what we try to do at Grace Dieu is to make the children aware that they can make a positive difference to other people’s lives if we just make a small effort; it’s brilliant what even the youngest children here can do!”
