The Nottinghamshire Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) has raised a staggering £2190 for the NSPCC’s East Midlands Childs Voice Appeal at the branch’s 2nd annual charity ball.

BlusourceHeld in July at Nottingham’s Park Plaza Hotel, approximately 90 legal executives, solicitors and barristers attended the event, co-sponsored by Blusource Legal, the new legal search and selection consultancy servicing the East Midlands.

Claire Dickerson, an associate at Blusource’s legal division, is vice-chair of ILEX Nottinghamshire branch and was compère for the evening. She said: “We were absolutely thrilled with the amount raised for the NSPCC and during these difficult economic times, it is truly uplifting that people’s generosity has not waned.

“We set a precedent in our inaugural year when we raised a similar total for the Motor Neurone Disease Association so to be able to repeat that success is testament to all those involved – thank you.”

The impressive fundraising total was generated through a variety of activities including an auction, raffle and party games as well as ticket sales for the ball.

Blusource is continuing its support of ILEX and later this year will sponsor the Leicestershire branch’s 50th Anniversary Ball. In addition, the company has recently announced the NSPCC as its charity benefactor for the year.
