Britain's most notorious street for claims covered in bubble wrapThe street that has been labelled as Britain’s most notorious street for car insurance claims was recently covered in bubble wrap in an attempt to warn drivers and pedestrians of all potential dangers.

Somerville Road in Worcester became a sea of bubble wrap as pavements, vehicles, trees, lampposts and garden accessories were shrouded in plastic sheeting by as a means of notifying drivers of the need to be vigilant when driving at all times.

The brains behind this idea, Will Thomas, head of motor insurance at, chose to implement this test after a significant increase in UK car insurance claims due to the winter arctic weather conditions.

Mr Thomas said: We thought we'd highlight the need to take care out there and make sure you're fully covered on the roads with the best motor policy in our own, fun way.

Mr Thomas continued by revealing the true extent of car insurance ( claims for drivers, with two or more claims in a year likely to increase premiums by double the following calendar year.
