Leicester society of artists celebrate 125th annual exhibition

As always, a delightful evening was had by artists and guests at the Preview of the 125th Annual Exhibition of the Leicester Society of Artists at New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester.

The event was officially opened by The Right Worshipful The Lord Mayor of Leicester Councillor Roger Blackmore and The Lady Mayoress Mrs Hilary Blackmore who also presented the prizes to the artists, chosen by John Devane, Head of Department of Visual & Applied Arts at Coventry University. The mood was buoyant as members both celebrated their heritage and also looked forward to an exciting future.
