Local hospital to get multi-million pound refurbishment

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital, formerly ‘The Leicester Clinic’ in the 1960s and in more recent years ‘The Leicester Nuffield Hospital’ will use the money to upgrade the facilities at its site on Scraptoft Lane.

Work at the hospital will begin in the coming months with the first task on the list being vibrant new signage for the hospital exterior.

Extensive Internal refurbishments will improve the look and feel of the hospital and will enhance the patient experience. This will be carried out in phases to ensure that the hospital can continue to provide the best care to all its patients throughout the upgrade.

Andrew Davey, General Manager of Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital, says: “We’re really excited by the prospect of using this money to upgrade our hospital. Whilst we pride ourselves on always giving excellent care, being able to provide our patients with a hospital that has a fresh new look and better facilities is really satisfying.

“We’ve been providing the very best medical care to people in Leicestershire for the last 40 years, and such a huge investment will enable us to continue to do so.”
