Celebrating 25 Years of LOROS

It was exactly 25 years in September since the first patients accessed the services of the LOROS hospice, based on Groby Road, Leicester.

Celebrating 25 Years of LOROS
LOROS is a local charity run by local people for the benefit of local patients and their families. Over 2500 patients and their families access our services each year, either in a community, in our palliative day therapy unit (Manor Croft), or the 31-bedded inpatient hospice.

The aim of the charity is to enhance the quality of life of patients with cancer and other similar illnesses, for whom curative treatment is no longer possible.

LOROS relies on the support of the local community and businesses in order to raise vital funds, enabling all of our services to be provided free for patients and their families.

A big thanks goes to all who attended on the night, and all of the companies who kindly supported the evenings event:

Upstage Theatre Supplies;
One Stop Promotions Leicester;
TA Centre, Carol Morris and Sue Slattery;
Midland Domestic Appliances;
House of Callow Dairy Produce Merchant;
The Oat Hill Public House, Market Harborough;
Palmer's Garden Centre.
