Leicester College has been recognised for its contribution to improving the environment at the Leicester Green Life awards 2010

The College was winner of the category for Best Environmental Contribution by a school or college. The award was given in recognition of the College’s outstanding performance in increasing the levels of recycling being achieved. Achievements include an 80% increase in the amount of waste sent for recycling over the past year.

Leicester College was presented with a certificate and a tree which will be planted in the spring at one of the three campuses.

Robin Dalby, Maintenance and Development Co-ordinator said: “We are always looking for opportunities to improve recycling in every way. We have been working hard to improve our performance and it is great to have our achievements recognised in the city.”
