The Lord Mayor visits Chill Enterprises

Chill Enterprises is a community arts organisation based in the heart of Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. We offer creative opportunities through workshops, projects and courses. We support a wide variety of young people from primary to the further education sector, across Leicestershire.

Chill Enterprises’ main focus is to give young people creative success through enterprise and training. Young people can participate in a range of performing arts and media activities such as radio and film production. Chill Enterprises projects and courses incorporate ways to develop social and interpersonal skills such as; Confidence, Team building, Communicat ion, Self Esteem, as well as developing and gaining creative skills.

Over the last four years, Chill Enterprises has continued to build links in the community as well as schools and colleges. We work in partnership to deliver creative learning, workshops and accredited courses. We are looking to expand our work with young people by developing further partnership opportunities. Chill Enterprises are also able to offer schools the opportunity to have courses and projects delivered within their schools or access the facilities located at our site.

Having run successful radio production courses externally for many years, we have now built our very own radio studio. This gives young people an opportunity to work in a professional studio environment and use industry equipment and software. Through our passion and dedication, Chill Enterprises has produced their first live radio broadcast through Hustle FM onsite. Hustle FM has been the brainchild of the young people on the youth radio project and the radio production courses. Hustle FM is developed by the students, working alongside experienced industry professional tutors.
