Junior Lawyers raise money for shelter

The Leicestershire Junior Lawyers Division held their annual quiz in aid of Shelter, the charity supporting the homeless, at the Terrace Bar in Leicester on Tuesday the 22nd March.

The legal organisation, whose membership has grown to around 300 members since inception in 2008, welcomed around 100 Lawyers and Law School students who battled 6 fierce rounds of questions which tested their sports, legal and local knowledge.

Junior Lawyers raise money for shelter
The Lord Mayor of Leicester, who is an active supporter of Shelter and who attended, said a few words in support of the national charity. Local law firms also did their part by donating prizes for a raffle which included many bottles of champagne, some theatre tickets and an Ipod, amongst many others.

President of the LJLD, Rik Pancholi says “The Shelter Quiz is a charity that we have continued to support for many years and by raising £504.65 we know the money will be put to good use and we have only to thank the generosity of those who attended and showed their support.”
