Hannah B Creating a musical buzz in the city, check out her latest video
At the tender age of 21, Hannah B is a growing superstar. Bursting with enthusiasm and oozing talent, the Leicester soul artist is set to be a musical sensation.
Musically inspired by the likes of Adele and Paloma Faith, she has created a unique sound that combines soulful blues with an edgy, upbeat feel. Stylistically, Hanna B has spent time finding an image and a look, which suits her best. As a result, Hannah has morphed into a classy young lady with a 50’s style, inspired by icons of the era such as Audrey Hepburn.
Hannah has been a performer for as long as she can remember. Using anything with a platform above 1ft high as a stage, she loved to make songs up and perform them to whoever would listen. Grabbing every opportunity, Hannah has gigged in pubs, clubs, garden parties and even car parks to fulfil her childhood dream.
Her persistence and enthusiasm together with the support of family has enabled Hannah to work with top producers Simon Gogerly and Ich, whose portfolio includes chart toppers Blue and Atomic Kitten Following sound advice from these professionals, Hannah found a band to support her and took things to the next level, touring extensively and performing live sets.
As a singer / songwriter, Hannah claims her writing is inspired by experiences: “They may not always be my own experiences, but those of others too. it gives me an opportunity to reflect on things that have happened to me, or someone I know”.
“Usually if I have something to say or want to let someone know how I feel I just find it easier to write a song about it!”
This unstoppable young woman has not only performed to 10,000 people at The Abbey Park fireworks display, but made history by supporting James Morrision at the first ever live stadium gig in Leicester, at the Leicester Tigers Stadium. She will also perform at this year’s “Midsummer’s Big Party 2011” on the 18th June, following on from her appearance at last year’s event, which helped raise £45,000 for charity.
On the 1st July however, all eyes will be on Hannah alone, as she performs at her very own gig at Leicester’s O2 Academy. Hannah will entertain 1,000 people, describing the forthcoming event as “overwhelming, but incredibly exciting”.
