It's worth the wait!
Published by admin on Mon, 2011-07-11 14:15The long awaited arrival of the new MG, is it something to write home about? The simple answer is a resounding YES it was worth the wait! Undeniably it looks like a nice piece of kit, with its stylish contours and sleek sloping back, plus it drives like a dream.
Fully maxed with gadgets it has more computing power than a space craft that went to the moon, its NASA with four wheels - Here are a just few examples of the treats in store - One touch engine start, Rear parking aids, ABS with EBD, Cruise control, Hill holding system, Sat Nav, Duel zone air-conditioning, Blue tooth connectivity, CD MP3 - Phew!! and there's plenty more besides.

“We have had a great response to the initial launch of the new MG6 GT. As well as making MG fans excited, it also appeals to a wider audience because of it’s specification levels, head turning looks and competitive pricing” says Paul McNeil, Sales Director at Luffield Cars. “With a comprehensive marketing campaign already underway, including the first MG TV advert for over 7 years, we are sure the MG6 GT and the new models planned over the next 5 years will ensure MG becomes a household name once again”
The wind in the hair factor for the biggles brigade is not an option for now, but do not despair they are looking to eventually make a drop head which is in the pipe line.
The MG6 has been received very well by MG enthusiasts as well as the general public who like the look and feel of the car, its elegant leather interior comes in two trims and seven stylish colours to help personalize the interior to yourself- with its 6 way adjustable sport seat it’s more comfy than your favourite armchair. (Pipes and slippers not included!)
Being a spacious five-seater it’s not the usual racy and intimate car of the past where you could fit just your girlfriend alongside you and whizz along the country roads, now it’s a case of being able to fit in your wife, kids and dog comfortably, plus grandma too!! - there's no excuse now, everyone can come along for the ride.
Plenty of leg room for all, and an impressive large boot area especially with the rear seats down it can accomodate everything but the kitchen sink. ( Thinking about it you could probably fit that in too!)
Many customers are under the impression that it is made in China, but the car was designed by a team led by Tony Williams- Kenny and the engineering and development team was led by David Lindley. They are both based at the MG Birmingham site where final assembly of the MG6 also takes place. The Chinese are the biggest automobile makers in the world so although the MG is assembled in the UK most of the components are sourced from all over the world including China- as do many cars of today
This sporty brand still retains its sense of quintessential Englishness with the iconic MG badge proudly on display.
