Adapt mums light up the stage at charity fashion show
On 3 November 2011, Howes Percival LLP joined forces with John Lewis to raise money for Leicestershire based charity ADAPT. The fashion show, which was held at the Leicester City football stadium, brought together mums and children supported by the charity with lawyers from local solicitors firm Howes Percival LLP. ADAPT is a Leicestershire based charity that supports the parents of babies that need, or have needed, neonatal care, and they rely purely on donations to continue to provide a valuable service to the community. The fashion show featured clothes from John Lewis' Autumn/Winter collection, and hair and make up were provided by Tête à Tête and Clarins respectively.
Howes Percival LLP solicitor Jenna Bruce said "we were delighted to be able to support ADAPT again, and it was especially poignant to see mums that have benefitted from the charity's invaluable support on stage with their children. It was a great night and everybody looked amazing".
Whilst the final figure raised for ADAPT is to be confirmed, the raffle alone raised £473.00. ADAPT Co-ordinator Sue Williams was delighted with the show: "the money and awareness raised for ADAPT will help us to continue to maintain our high levels of support for the families of premature babies. Howes Percival's continued support is fantastic, particularly with such a fun and uplifting event. The mums and children really enjoyed strutting their stuff on stage."
