The launch of the Rainbows and LOROS 'Accumulator charity challenge' at Sturgess Leicester

The Accumulator Charity Challenge, previously known as the Vantis Charity Challenge sees businesses throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland compete against each other to raise money for local charities, Rainbows and LoRoS. The idea of the challenge is to take £50 (provided by Rainbows and LoRoS) and, in the space of three months raise as much money as is legally and ethically possible. Competitors will attend an awards dinner at the City Rooms in November where prizes for most money raised and most innovative idea will be awarded.

Participants from companies including Bray and Bray and Charlotte Graham funeral Services attended the Launch Party, along with Leicestershire County Cricket first team players; Greg Smith, Paul Dixey and Ned Eckersley and England & Tigers rugby ace Louis Deacon. The participating companies were invited to the Launch Party kindly supported by Sturgess Motor Group to receive their information packs along with a crisp £50 note. The evening provided a unique opportunity for some of Leicestershire’s business elite to network, as well as to share some money making ideas for the challenge with the exception of some of the more savvy participants who chose to remain tight lipped about their intentions!

Alex Gamble, Corporate fundraiser for LoRoS said; “The Accumulator Charity Challenge is a great initiative for companies looking for cost effective team building opportunities and those looking to support local charities. We are really excited about the challenge this year, the participants are all extremely enthusiastic and there have already been some fantastic ideas put forward. We wish everybody taking part the very best of luck. ”
