A Reception Was Held As Leading Leicestershire Lawyers Join Forces
The Leicestershire legal community and high profile dignitaries congregated at a late summer reception, the first event to be hosted by Emery Johnson Astills.
The firm is the result of a merger between family law and crime specialists Emery Johnson with long-established private client experts Astills and brings together some of the region’s highest profile lawyers.
Managing Partner and renowned Criminal Defence Lawyer, Helen Johnson relinquished the role of President of the Leicestershire Law Society in May this year while Property, Wills & Probate specialist Steve Swanton, currently Vice President, will assume the role of President in May 2014 and the firm will continue to play a prominent and influential role in the Leicestershire’s legal community.
The merger consolidates a history of successful collaboration and referrals between Helen, Steve, Emma Mitchell, head of the successful family division and Rosemary Hamilton, who specialises in commercial conveyancing, wills and probate.
Helen told us “Emery Johnson Astills is a family-focused firm offering specialist advice and representation whether you are marrying or divorcing, planning for your family’s future, moving home or business premises, or find yourself on the wrong side of a police interview resulting from something as simple as turning to talk to your children while driving.”
Steve offered reassurance for existing clients telling us that “We remain small enough to be personally invested in the legal outcomes we achieve for our clients and we are now also big enough to offer the same attention to detail and continuity of advice and representation across a wider range of specialist services.”
Headquartered in expanded premises at 3-5 Welford Road, Emery Johnson Astills offices in Loughborough and Coalville offer a convenient service to clients in the North of the county.
