RSPCA goes retro for its charity shop in Loughborough
With Loughborough’s ever-increasing student population, the RSPCA recognised a need for a change in its charity store to appeal more to this target market. The charity made the decision to appoint Leicester-based, graphic design studio, Hyphen to help with the task of making the store more student-friendly.
Rebecca Cank, fundraising and events coordinator comments, “We wanted to remove ourselves from the traditional image of a charity shop of donated goods and second hand stock because our store is also filled with new products and RSPCA branded items.
“After being recommended by my branch manager to get in touch with Hyphen about the project, I called them with our brief of rebranding the shop in a vintage/retro theme.
“Jenni of Hyphen was very helpful and has captured our brief perfectly. Following the initial signage update we also had leaflets, posters and coupons designed and printed to drive traffic into our newly designed and stocked store.
“Everyone comments on our new design and we’re beginning to see an increase in traffic to the store which is great. We’re so happy with the work Hyphen did for us, nothing was ever too much trouble and it’s great to know they’re always on the end of the line.”
The RSPCA store in Loughborough is located at 48 Market Street, Town Centre, Loughborough, LE11 3ER and can be contacted on 01509 231 812.
