Over £640 Raised to Help Disadvantaged Young People
A recent open office event held by Julie Langton, Wealth Management Partner at True Potential has added £200 to a total of £641 of funds raised by Julie over the past two years for Soft Touch Arts, a local charity for disadvantaged young people in the Leicester area.
Soft Touch Arts is an award-winning charity delivering arts, media and music projects across the city to engage young people and change lives. The charity has recently moved into a new building on New Walk, and the latest money raised will fund equipment for the new kitchen which will be used for cooking workshops.
Julie Langton’s open office event attracted 28 businesses from across the county and featured a photography exhibition and one of Soft Touch Arts’ rising young talents, Mason Allsop, who drew caricatures of the attendees. Many local businesses donated a variety of gifts to the prize draw.
What’s more, Julie Langton was recently nominated for a local business award with Leicester-based lifestyle magazine, Niche.
Julie says “I am passionate about helping others, whether it’s with their personal finances or by helping the wider community by holding regular charity events”.
Julie Langton also supports local children’s hospice and charity, Rainbows, and was involved in organising their recent ‘Fashion and Fizz’ show held on Tuesday 13th October at the Tigers Stadium. For more information on this event, please visit www.rainbows.co.uk/fashionandfizz
