The City Rooms Celebrate their 10th Birthday
The City Rooms marked its tenth anniversary on Friday 16th September, around 100 friends, suppliers and clients attended a party at the Leicester City Venue to celebrate.
The Georgian, Grade I listed building opened its doors in September 2006, more than 200 years after work first began on the building. Over the past 10 years it has hosted countless weddings, parties and conferences.
Kiran Parmar, Managing Director, said: “We’re so proud to be celebrating 10 years of being open. It’s so amazing to think of all the people who’ve got married here and celebrated a birthday or anniversary. The support we’ve had over the years has been fantastic and the team we have is incredible. So many people have contributed to the success of The City Rooms and I’d like to thank everyone.”
On the night The City Rooms were raising awareness of local charity, Alex’s Wish, a charity aiming to conquer Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscular disorder.
The City Rooms’ general manager, Cherlynn Bunting, has been with the company for nine years and said: “Having worked in such a wonderful establishment for nine of the ten years has been a remarkable journey. What started out as a small team in the office lead to a full events team filled with co-odinators, head chefs specialising in numerous cuisines and an operations team. I’m honoured to have had the privilege of working here and look forward to what the next ten years will bring.”
