Leicester based charity The Mighty Creatives (TMC) have secured thousands of pounds to kickstart local young people who have a creative flair for business, and they don’t have to pay one penny back.
A total of £4000 has been raised for Midlands based charities, Cure Leukaemia and the Stephen Staunton Foundation. The funds were raised at the Birmingham Sports Awards held last year, through a number of fundraising activities that took place throughout the evening.
Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust supporters have raised over £4,250 for the Wild Lives at Rutland Water Appeal, by travelling a total of almost 2,000 miles in just one day.
The first ever concert featuring community choirs from all over Leicestershire has raised in excess of a staggering £8k for the county’s own cancer research charity, HOPE Against Cancer, following a fundraising evening of music, joy and laughter at St James the Greater, London Road, Leicester.
