Clarissa to launch "Clarissa's England" at Warwickshire Countryside Day

Clarissa's EnglandAuthor and Cook Clarissa Dickson Wright will be launching her new book Clarissa’s England at The Warwickshire Countryside Day to be held at Hatton Country World on 2 September 2012.  Clarissa will be at the show all day and will be signing copies of new book and other titles.

Ferrets, falconry, gundogs, hounds and lots of fun are guaranteed at this year’s Warwickshire Countryside Day which takes place at Hatton Country World, near Warwick on Sunday 2 September.

With the demise of both The Royal Show and Town & Country at Stoneleigh, this is GREAT NEWS for all those who enjoy a Summer Day Out in the countryside.

The show offers a fun-filled day out for all the family with a full arena programme including falconry displays, gundog demonstrations, ferret racing, a parade of six packs of hounds, a fun family dog show and the chance to have a go at archery, clay pigeon shooting and lots more. Other attractions include a Terrier & Lurcher show an Inter-hunt relay competition, side saddle, terrier racing and a Treasure Trail especially designed for children at the show.

The Countryside Day will have its own shopping village, over 50 quality trade stands selling clothing, equipment, gifts for the home and garden and a varied choice of food and drink with a Licensed bar.

And all this in addition to Hatton Country World’s popular Farm and Shopping Villages.

Organiser and Countryside Alliance Regional Director for Warwickshire Sara Rutherford said: “Warwickshire Countryside Day will be a great way for people to experience all aspects of country sports and understand their importance to the countryside and its future as well as being a lot of fun.  We offer something for all the family to enjoy.”

In addition our Terrier & Lurcher Show is a qualifier for the Countryman’s Weekly Championships with the usual range of classes.  We hope people from all walks of life will take the opportunity to come along for a fun day out and find out more about the countryside and what goes on in it.”
