Tickets are still available for ‘A Prom for All’ Saturday 27th September at 6pm.
The Cathedral choirs, local school choirs and the Coventry Cathedral Orchestra are joining forces on Saturday 27th September at 6pm for ‘A Prom for All’.
This concert is being organised by the Friends of Coventry Cathedral to celebrate their 80th Anniversary and raise funds for the Cathedral Choir and Music.
The programme includes a mixture of everything – from ‘Let it Go’ from Disney’s ‘Frozen’ to pieces from the west end (Les Miserables) and World War One songs to Choral favourites including Verdi, Elgar and Vivaldi.
“Fresh from leading the ‘Big Sing’ in the Royal Albert Hall last Sunday, Paul Leddington Wright will be conducting the Cathedral Orchestra, and a combined choir of over 200 voices,” explained Andrew Paine, Chairman of the Friends of Coventry Cathedral. “We’re starting at 6pm so people of all ages can come and join in the fun. We’re providing words for songs included in the ‘British Isles Medley’, flags and refreshments. It will be a night packed full of fun and laughter.”
