Hallaton Hoedown - Vintage Country Fayre, Food, Music & Beer Festival
Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd August 2015
The Fox Inn, Hallaton, Market Harborough, Leicestershire
Famed for its annual Bottle Kicking contest on Easter Mondays, Hallaton is set to add another family fun event to its diary – the Hallaton Hoedown. Hosted by The Fox Inn, nestling beside Hallaton’s picturesque village duck pond, the Hallaton Hoedown vintage country fayre, food, music and beer festival is being held on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd August 2015.
In addition to a festival stage with live music from popular regional bands and artists, there will be real ales and ciders from local guest breweries, a wide selection of foods, and a vintage themed craft fayre and automobile show. The first night will see a charity auction compered by Rutland Radio’s own star presenter Rob Persani, with prizes donated from local businesses. The event is being held in aid of ‘Disability Rocks’, a non-profit organisation that enables people living with disabilities of all ages to enjoy and get positively involved with music and art events nationwide.
The Hallaton Hoedown kicks off on Friday 21st at 6.00pm with live music, food, real ales and the charity auction. On Saturday 22nd the gates will open at 11.00am for the vintage craft fayre and car show; with food and ale available while music from 13 bands plays throughout the day. This family fun day will close with a festival headline act at 10.00pm. There is ample local parking and entry is by wrist band (£2.50 on the gate, 12 and under go free) with all entrance proceeds going to Disability Rocks.
