White – makes a super aperitif or as a Sunday morning ‘snifter’ Tawny - with Sticky Toffee pudding? It takes Port to a different level And what about; PINK with ice & tonic – yes I did say Pink’! This goes in a different direction – ha ha ha
Those of you who have flown into Bergamo (or One big difference is that they add less sugar with the Milan as a certain, ‘well-known’ budget airline calls it – ha ha) will be aware just how beautiful the region is and that there are a number of lakes in the area.

Over the last 12 months there has been lots of Press about English wines. The East Mercia Vineyards Association stretches from the Welsh Border to Lincolnshire and south of Northampton to well north or York, with most being placed in the centre middle of the region.
Seriously, we spend so much time chasing forward and trying new things, sometimes it is really good to STOP, STAND STILL and remember the past. So can you remember Beaujolais that was both fashionable and which we loved between 1970s & 90s? If you can, you are as old as me - hehehe.
Few people know that Sicily has more vineyards than any other Italian region and it competes with ‘Apulia’ [Puglia] as the largest wine producer. Ironically Sicilians consume less than any other region so that most of the wine is ‘exported’ from the island with many grapes produced as raisins.
Rum has been part of the British way of life ever since it has been known to be made. Records go back to the early 17th Century and by then the ‘Colonies’ included a number of the Caribbean Islands where the majority of rum is distilled.
What a shame as it should be family friendly & fun!!
