Making its debut at the Tokyo Motor show is the Kobot created as a joint venture by Kowa Tmusk. This all-electric scooter that can fold up at the tap of a button on a smartphone app and sports three wheels and one seat.

Think of it as the end of cars' slacker days: No more sitting idle for hours in car parks or garages racking up payments, but instead earning their keep by helping store power for the electricity grid.
