Leicester hospital assists their local bobby on the beat with the right tools for the job

A local hospital is assisting their local ‘bobby on the beat’ Police Constable Katy Burham by providing a brand new, top of the range bicycle for her to use whilst on duty.

Police Constable Burnham got in touch with Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital recently after learning that funding for additional kit is in short supply. A formal presentation was held which included hospital staff and members of the local policing team.

The General Manager at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital, Andrew Davey said: “We are only too happy to assist with such a worthy local cause. Our local policing team are so valuable to our community and I would encourage other local businesses to help where they can. I look forward to seeing PC Burnham around the community knowing we have helped in providing a better service to our neighbourhood”.
