OLCS annual art exhibition
OLCS has over 170 years of history in Loughborough and today is proud of their traditional values, stretching but not stressing students. Educating the whole person is at the heart of OLCS’ approach. The School actively embraces diversity, welcoming students of all faiths and beliefs. The 2010 Inspection Report found Good or Outstanding features in all aspects and reported that learning and achievements “show that pupils succeed in their studies because they display exemplary behaviour and outstanding attitudes towards their learning”.
Small class sizes ensure that each student receives the individual attention necessary to achieve their own potential. Students are able to take part in a wide variety of academic, social and charitable activities, developing their whole person.
This summer, OLCS hosted their annual Art Exhibition with work from GCSE, AS and A2 Level students displayed around the Cloisters. The unique setting was perfect for the exhibition, with great talent being showcased. Art Teacher, Margaret Chatburn, said “Feedback from the public has been excellent. This year’s standard is even higher than normal. The individuality of the students’ work, the diversity and range presented was most impressive”.
OLCS have an Open Evening on Wednesday 12th October. All departments will be open and active, so please come along and take a look around.
