UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell, Astro And Mickey Virtue Confirmed As Final LMF Act

In one of their first performances since reuniting earlier this year, reggae favourites UB40, featuring original founding members Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue, have been announced as the final act for the inaugural Leicester Music Festival (LMF) in partnership with Capital FM East Midlands.

The Birmingham group, famed for a series of chart-topping hits including ‘Kingston Town, ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘Cherry Oh Baby’ will complete the line-up on Saturday 26th July.

The first-of-its-kind and largest two day event in Leicestershire, LMF is expected to draw a crowd of 44,000 people from across the Midlands. Organisers are expecting a large number of West Midlands-based UB40 fans will make the journey across to Leicester to see their idols perform in one of only a few planned performances of 2014.
