STIHL puts its roar behind the Leicester Tigers and becomes Official Garden Power Tool Supplier.

Major outdoor power tool company, STIHL GB has signed as an Official Sponsor of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club – the best-supported rugby-union club in the country. The three-year sponsorship deal, announced at Leicester Tigers’ Official Press Day on 28th August, comes as the Club warms up for the new season. Winners of the Aviva Premiership in 2012/13, the Club’s 2014/15 campaign kicked off at their home ground on Saturday 6th September. Among the biggest clubs in European rugby, and with a vast fanbase, Tigers will now have an extra roar behind them thanks to the multiple strands of the STIHL sponsorship. Part of the sponsorship includes STIHL becoming the Club’s Official Garden Power Tool Supplier, with its products being used to maintain the Club’s Welford Road stadium and training grounds.

Additional plans include fan-focussed activities on match days, plus online and in-store promotions with the local and national STIHL Dealer network.
