Concordia Theatre Open Day

Saturday 19th September

10am - 4pm

A fantastic fun filled family day out. And it’s free!

The final preparations are being made to the arrangements for Open Day on Saturday 19th September. It promises to be a day of fun and enjoyment for all ages and also an opportunity to encourage as many as possible to come along.

The drop-in sessions that will roll throughout the day, include hourly sound to light shows, hands on experiences with lighting control, examples showing the responsibilities of a stage manager and the art of show calling during a production, fly rail (at ground level) and sound.

There will also be a glow in the dark experience for the younger visitors and the young at heart, face painting, dressing up, stage make up, a display of props and set building.

Get the kids to come along in their favourite dressing up outfit and sing...

Groups will be giving snippets of performances and offering entertainment in the rehearsal room and theatre bar, whilst in the Youth Theatre children will have the opportunity to come along in their best dressing up costume and join in a sing-a-long with their favourite costumed characters in Sing-a- long Magic, a Panto experience in Pantoland, lots of fun photo opportunities and a teddy bear hunt to keep the kids entertained and guide you round the complex all combine to give you an idea of how the theatre works.

A mobile stage will be set up on the front car park where events will take place during the day, including the professional duo, Andrew Van Buren & Allyson, who will be performing their Magic Show – repeating some of the enchantment they brought to our last Panto, Humpty Dumpty.

Event date:
